corporate parenting

The Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 named twenty four bodies and organisations across Scotland as corporate parents. This section offers a comprehensive definition of corporate parenting, a breakdown of key duties and responsibilities, and information on who the legislation applies to.

This is our section for young people. Find out more about your corporate parents - who are they? What can they do for you? Listen to other young peoples' stories, find out why storytelling is important and find out how you can get involved in our work across the country.

The Learning Hub hosts a range of downloadable content for corporate parents to implement within their own training models and platforms. Resources include video interviews, case studies and best practice guides, allowing corporate parents to listen directly to care experienced people on a range of corporate parenting areas of responsibility.
